Heggan Free Public Library is now a member of LOGIN (Libraries of Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland Information Network) a group of public, school, and academic libraries in Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland Counties that share their resources through a computerized catalog. Libraries of Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland Information Network (LOGIN) The public is welcome to attend Board Meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Library. The Library is currently directed by Sheila Mikkelson. The Board delegates administration of the library to the director. The Board is responsible, in cooperation with the library director and following New Jersey Library Laws, for establishing the policies that govern the library and for determining library objectives appropriate to the needs of the community. The other seven members are appointed by the mayor and must be approved by council. Heggan Free Public Library has a nine member Board of Trustees which must include the mayor and the local superintendent of schools.
