Just don’t get too crazy and land on your head, or else you’ll have to either restart the level or go back to the previous checkpoint. This means that front flips and backflips are heavily encouraged, and in some cases may even be necessary in order to get 3 stars. As previously mentioned, doing stunts in the air will shave off time. The more dangerous you play the game, the more you are rewarded.
